About Dhammapada
The Dhammapada is one of the most beloved and widely read of the Buddhist scriptures. A collection of verses attributed to the Buddha, it distils the essence of his teaching into clear, memorable lines on the nature of the mind, ethical living, and inner freedom.
Its teachings are practical and direct. They point again and again to the same recognition: that our experience is shaped by the quality of our own mind, and that awareness, discipline, and compassion are the path to liberation.
About this Program
This program is a collective exploration of the Buddha’s teachings through meditation, reflection, practice, and dialogue. We read the verses slowly, allowing their meaning to unfold, and explore how they apply to the situations of our daily lives.
How the Program Works
- Verse-by-verse study — The text is explored with patience and care
- Meditation — Sessions include periods of silence and meditative attention
- Reflection — Participants are invited to observe the teachings at work in daily life
- Dialogue — Insights and questions are shared openly in the group
- Application — The emphasis throughout is on living the teaching, not only studying it
Who is this for?
This program is open to sincere seekers of all backgrounds. No prior knowledge of Buddhism or Pali is necessary.
